Sidcup Baptist Church has been in existence for approximately one hundred and fifteen years and the church buildings have been on this site since the 1920’s - although modernisation has occurred at various times. We currently have around 120 members, and a good number of non-members attend regularly as well. Everybody is welcome to come
Our minister (also called our ‘pastor’) is Rev Ronnie Barham and he lives close to the church premises with his family. He is always willing to give help and advice if you have a particular problem that’s worrying you, and if he can’t help he will try to pass you on to someone who can. Ronnie operates from an office on the church premises and can be contacted there during weekdays,
to our Sunday services (10.30am and 6.30pm each week, for a bit over an hour), and to participate in the events of the church, regardless of their lifestyle, racial origin, set of beliefs (or non-beliefs) or background.
Our vision statement is: To be a church that loves and serves God, His people and His World.
unless he has been called away. If you can’t call personally, Ronnie can be contacted by phone on 020 8309 9717 or by letter at Main Road, Sidcup, Kent. DA14 6PA.
Ronnie also has a team of colleagues whose responsibility is to help him deal with spiritual and practical issues within the church. A group of ‘deacons’ perform this role and form a leadership team with the pastor. Our current deacons are Derek Atkins, Steve Chattaway, Dave Cole (Church Secretary), George Hider, Barbara Humphreys, Andy Masters, Roy Maxim (Treasurer) and Teresa Willmot.
